NOTES Figures verified by MHI Performance Certification (2024) under the standard Sortons parcel profile (500 g polybag, 30/60/10 soft/rigid/fragile mix). Site‑specific throughput varies with induction cadence, chute count, and SortVisionAI ruleset. Contact a Sortons engineer for a SKU‑scoped throughput guarantee tied to your parcel profile.
Control Software Layer

SortVisionAI bridges the mechanical sorter to your WMS and WCS — with 14-second predictive jam-detection.

The control software is the contract surface your systems integrator signs against. SortVisionAI is developed in-house alongside the mechanical platform, so the integration boundary is documented, versioned, and supported by the same engineers who built the sorter.

MODULE / SV-AI-CORE v4.2

Predictive jam-detection, 14 seconds before fault

A vision-based anomaly model inspects every parcel at the induction zone and tracks motor current signatures at each divert actuator. When the model detects a divergence beyond tolerance, it raises a soft-stop event and routes the parcel to a recirculation lane — typically 14 seconds before a hard jam would halt the line.

  • Vision Top-mount line-scan at every induction
  • Current Per-actuator signature baseline
  • Action Soft-stop + recirculate, not hard-stop
  • Audit Full event log retained 36 months
